Classes are inclusive and small, and I pay particular attention to each individuals needs, a strong focus on working with your own body and improving overall strength, flexibility and stamina.

About YuWellness

At YuWellness classes are taught both online via zoom and in-person classes in Harrogate. Classes are kept small to enable me to offer a more personalised approach and give corrections and variations for each individual.

Meet Your Instructor

Sophie Jamshidi

Sophie originally started Yoga whilst working as a Professional Dancer. 

Having travelled the world and using yoga as a way to stay agile, strong, balanced and open-minded, the benefits she felt were inspiring and helped her stay injury free in a very demanding career. 

She discovered a new passion and went on to train as a teacher.

 

Sophies' background and anatomical knowledge shines through in her teaching, giving excellent quality and bio-mechanical teaching points and variations on asanas (poses) and exercises. Always offering modifications for your needs. You will always be encouraged to practise safely, within YOUR limits, while challenging your self to new heights.
 

  • Worked worldwide as a Professional Dancer for over 10 years.

  • Practised yoga in the UK, France, Singapore, Greece, Thailand and more.

  • Trained at Fierce Grace Hot Yoga

  • Trained by Sarah Ramsden, Sports Yoga: The Body Athletic and The Body Aligned (Sarah is known for training Ryan Giggs)

  • Trained BootyBarre instructor. The Barre fitness class straight out of L.A. and now taught internationally

  • Yoga Alliance Professionals registered and insured

  • Exercise to Music Fitness Qualification

  • Teaches a mix of Hatha, Asthanga/Vinyassa and Power yoga

  • Large knowledge of injuries and alignment leading to the safest practice possible

  • I want to break the stigma that surrounds yoga: Yoga is for everyone, trying is the largest hurdle.
